Logo designs for critically acclaimed restaurant in Stockholm
CLIENT BASTARDO ROLE GRAPHIC DESIGNER FOCUS GRAPHIC DESIGN, ILLUSTRATION, BRANDING
BACKGROUND The talented trio of Daniel Gunneriusson, Joakim Mering Andersson, and Jesper Skemark, former chefs at renowned restaurants, opened the doors to their new restaurant, Bastardo, in Stockholm. They approached me to create a logo that would reflect the bold, non-traditional spirit of their Italian-inspired menu. Bastardo is all about standing out and breaking away from tradition, and the logo needed to capture that essence. They wanted something playful and distinctive—something that would 'turn heads'. They also requested the inclusion of a hare as a cheeky nod to Italian culinary traditions, with one important condition: "Whatever you do, don't design a logo with pasta!"

DESIGN SOLUTION
Created a playful and memorable logo system To capture Bastardo's playful and non-traditional spirit, I designed a versatile logo system centered on a distinctive, hand-drawn logotype. The approach gave the brand a cohesive identity while allowing for playful variations, making it memorable and unique across all applications.
